Neighbourhood guide
Linden Rise
Lime-lined avenues and generous family houses.
Linden Rise climbs the hill above the Old Town in a grid of broad avenues planted with lime trees. Its villas and terraces were built for large households, and many still have the gardens to match.

Living here
The Rise is quieter than the streets below it. Gardens run long behind the houses, the avenues are wide enough for children to cycle, and the park at the top of the hill fills up on summer evenings.
Schools and green space
Families move here for the schools and stay for the space. Two well-regarded primary schools sit within the neighbourhood, and most houses are a short walk from the hilltop park.
Housing stock
Expect Victorian villas, Edwardian terraces and a few contemporary houses on infill plots. Period homes here reward a careful survey, and we’re always happy to talk one through with you.

Getting around
It’s a steady walk downhill to the Old Town and its rail station. Buses run along the main avenue; confirm current services with the operator.
